Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam vs Fulgencio Zuniga : 2014.04.16 King Sports Worldwide - Boxing At Barker

In 1964 a fighter was asked how he was going to approach his upcoming title fight with Sonny Liston, then known as Cassius Clay said I'm going to "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee". That is exactly what former Super Middleweight Champ Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam did in his fight against an outmatched Fulgencio Zuniga.
Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam was in total control of the fight when early in the 5th round he ruptured his left bicep. Hassan was then forced to complete the 10 round bout fighting with only one hand. He put on a truly amazing display of footwork, land shot after shot to Zuniga's head and body, while dodging and avoiding Zuniga's attempts to strike back. Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam improves to 30-1-0 (18 KOs) while Fulgencio Zuniga slips to 26-9-1 (23KOs).

Here are 15 images from that amazing bout, they are presented in order of capture:

The image below was shot exactly when Hassan injured his left bicep. You can see the protrusion.

Even injured, again the protrusion is very evident, Hassan manages to land damaging rights.

While successfully avoided Zuniga's attempts to strike back.

Referee Jack Reiss raises Hassan's hand after the unanimous 100-90  decision.

 Team N'Dam.
